Hi! As we all know every drawing comes with a message. Every single detail of an artwork should carry an information to the observer. Sometimes it is even more important what we draw than how you draw it. I like the man`s face and his expression, but he is not looking back as you say and I get a little bit confused by the position of the tree. May be you should change its place and add some background in order to show more clearly the main idea And why not colours

Ziet er goed uit lau, maar ik vind de compositie heel vreemd. Veel ruimte voor de kerel en te weinig voor de boom IMO.

Thanks for the crits people! I didn't add background because I think it would distract you from the main idea. The tree might indeed be a bit off but I wanted it to be attached to the man. He doesn't quite look directly at the tree, he just looks back, or he looks the opposite way of where he's going. The tree is just part of his minds eye so for me it didn't really matter where it is. Also I wanted the guy to be in the centre of the picture. The tree doesn't deserve the amount of space he has.. Why I didn't use color? I don't know how yet Still trying a lot. My next pic just might be in color!
